LACTATION CONSULTANT MENTOR (Job Code LM) 2 Per diem floater positions at all American Red Cross WIC Program offices

Responsibilities: Assist in WIC staff efforts to increase the agency’s breastfeeding rates by helping implement FY2010 Lactation Consultant Mentor Special Project. Serve as a technical breastfeeding resource for staff. Serve as a mentor to breastfeeding counseling staff. Provide client breastfeeding support via phone calls.

Requirements: Degree from 4-year college or university. IBCLC. Excellent written and verbal skills required. Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment and to work with a multi-cultural staff and participant population.

WIC Work Schedule: Per diem 8 – 20 hours/week. This position will end on September 30, 2011 with the potential to be extended to September 30, 2012.

Wage: $25 - $30 per hour depending upon experience
